Bang Bangz is a Houston electro-pop and dream-pop group formed around Elizabeth Salazar, Mario A. Rodriguez, and Vik Montemayor. Its recordings combine interwoven vocals, melodic guitar, keyboards, and live drums, preserving the intimacy of a small rock ensemble within an electronic sound. The self-titled Bang Bangz EP appeared in 2012, followed by Red City in 2013 and releases including Let Go in 2015. Recorded by Rodriguez and mixed by Christopher Longwood, the debut provides an early document of the band’s collaborative approach and its place in Houston’s expanding electronic-pop community.
