Wild Moccasins were a Houston band documented across nearly a decade of Free Press Houston coverage, from Free Press Summer Fest sets in 2009, 2010, 2012 and 2014 to the closing slot on the Yellow Stage at Day for Night in 2016. The paper consistently billed them as “Houston’s Wild Moccasins,” and its Houstonian Tales interviews record the band as part of a connected local network: drummer John Baldwin, later of LACE and the talent buyer at Walter’s, played in the group before moving on.
