Young Girls is a Houston guitar-pop band formed around brothers Pete and Charlie Tijerina, previously associated with Springfield Riots and Factory Party, respectively. Their shared vocals and interplay between guitar and bass shaped concise songs drawing from early rock and roll, surf pop, and post-punk. With drummer Nicholas Dudek, the group released Party Blood in 2016, assembling twelve tightly arranged tracks around recurring melodic hooks. Performances at the Continental Club and Cactus Music placed Young Girls within Houston’s independent listening community, while its recordings balanced bright harmonies with darker lyrical and instrumental turns.

One appearance documented on a Free Press Houston bill. Records are kept to the lineup sources the archive holds; nothing beyond them is stated.
