Primary Forms was first shown as a large-scale interactive installation at Day for Night in Houston in 2015, projected on an exterior surface of Silver Street Studios. The artist's documentation and VICE's coverage describe the system: imagery drawn from natural forms is deformed and reformed by rule-driven software, and the software takes its input from the crowd, tracked with a Kinect sensor so that the movement of people passing bends and breaks the projected forms and lets them settle again when the space is still.

The work is documented here through the artist's own video record and VICE's article; the surviving placement record locates it on an exterior wall between stages. The archive holds no photograph of the Houston presentation.
