Kamil Nawratil (VolvoxLabs)
Timespace was a moving-image commission for Day for Night 2015, made by Kamil Nawratil of the New York studio VolvoxLabs and presented as a site-specific video projection at Silver Street Studios on December 19–20, 2015. The studio's own record credits the visuals to Nawratil and the sound to Javier Cruz. The surviving placement record locates the work in the gallery hallway as a vertical projection with its own sound, a tall field of moving image in a narrow passage rather than a wide screen.
The work is documented here through the studio's video record and the placement record; the archive holds no photograph of the Houston installation.
