Blueprint

Blueprint is Joanie Lemercier's audiovisual installation of 2015, in which architecture and space are translated into projected structural forms and sound. The artist's own record describes a central monolithic tower flanked by two large screens, activated by projection and by a score composed by James Ginzburg and Yair Elazar Glotman, so that the built form seems to be drawn, dismantled and rebuilt in light. Free Press Houston's preview of the 2015 visual programme listed Lemercier's multiscreen installation Blueprint among the works, crediting visuals to Lemercier, music to Ginzburg and Glotman and production to Juliette Bibasse.

At Day for Night the work was not given a room of its own. The surviving placement record shows it programmed as a projection block of about thirty minutes between music acts, planned for the Red Stage on the Saturday and the Green Stage on the Sunday. That scheduling block is the festival's, and is distinct from the duration of the original work as the artist documents it. The archive holds no photograph of the Houston presentation.
