HYBRIS was Robert Seidel's projection for Day for Night 2016. The Houston Chronicle's preview of the edition's conceptual artists described it as a large-scale organic projection, and the installation preview circulated before the weekend describes a large organic shape that mimics a living plant and blurs the line between physical and digital life: a projected organism, grown at architectural scale on the surfaces of the post-office building, that appears to breathe and change rather than play back. The post-event recap in QRO Magazine recorded it among the works seen over the two days, and Houstonia's captions place it on the floor among the other installations.

The Houston presentation is documented here only through the contemporary press; the archive holds no photograph of it and asserts nothing about the work beyond what those accounts record.
