NONOTAK
Highline was one of two works NONOTAK brought to Day for Night 2016, their return after Volume had opened the first edition. ABC13's report on the festival's light shows and the Houston Chronicle's preview of its conceptual artists both list the studio's presence in the post-office building; Highline was the installation, a construction of mirror and light run to an ambient sound score, in which reflected beams extended the piece past its physical edges and visitors moved through the reflections. Houstonia's photo essay recorded crowds gathered at it.
The work is documented here through contemporary press only; the archive holds no photograph of the installation. NONOTAK's second 2016 work, SHIRO, was a stage for live performance and is recorded separately.
