30 Foot Fall, usually styled 30footFALL, emerged from Houston’s punk scene in 1993, combining melodic hooks, rapid rhythms, and irreverent humor. The band’s recordings include Divided We Stand (1995), ACME-143 (1997) on Fearless Records, and Ever Revolving, Never Evolving (1999) on Nitro Records. Associated with vocalist Butch Klotz and bassist Rubio Cisneros, the group carried its Houston beginnings onto the national punk circuit while retaining a strong local audience. Its recurring Christmas shows, long associated with Fitzgerald’s and later presented at Numbers, became a gathering point for successive generations of Houston punk listeners.
