SomosUno was a Houston punk-fusion project associated with Fernando Alejandro, a founding member of Cop Warmth. In a Free Press Houston interview, Alejandro described the group through ideas of unity, cultural exchange, humor, and spontaneous musical response. An archived performance announcement places the group at Super Happy Fun Land, connecting its philosophy with one of the city’s independent arts spaces. SomosUno’s surviving interview record presents music as a communal practice, linking the experimental freedom of Houston’s punk scene with an explicitly inclusive philosophy of collaboration and shared experience.
