Yung Slutty was the earlier performing name of Houston DJ and producer Hiram. Under this identity, he participated in the city’s electronic music community and appeared at Free Press Summer Fest before adopting the Hiram name by 2015. A contemporary interview connected the change to his work as an elementary-school music teacher and a desire for a public identity suited to that role. The Yung Slutty name therefore records an earlier phase of the same musician’s career, linking Houston club culture and beat production with his subsequent work under Hiram.
