The Linus Pauling Quartet are a long-running Houston rock band described in Free Press Houston as psych rockers and as heavy, guitar-based stoner and blues psych. The archive holds their appearances at Westheimer Block Party in 2009 and Free Press Summer Fest in 2011. Coverage in 2016 followed the release of the album Ampalanche with in-store performances at Vinal Edge and Cactus, and listings regularly placed them at Rudyard’s among the city’s established rock acts.
