Golden Cities are a Houston band described in Free Press Houston as psych rock with a jazz influence and, later, as psych pop and shoegaze. The archive holds their appearance at Westheimer Block Party in 2009, and the paper listed them among the regional and local bands on an early Free Press Summer Fest announcement. Coverage from 2014 to 2016 shows them opening and supporting on bills at Rudyard’s and other local rooms.
