The Suffers are a Houston band profiled in Free Press Houston’s 2015 series Getting To Know The FPSF Locals and reported that year as the first local band in a decade to sell out Fitzgerald’s. The archive holds their Free Press Summer Fest appearances in 2013 and 2015. Later coverage called them “one of the hardest working bands in town,” noted their self-titled debut, and followed larger bills, including support for ZZ Top and Gary Clark Jr. and a 2017 performance with the Houston Symphony at the Woodlands Pavilion.
