The first edition documented in the archive's own holdings. The paper prints it as “West Fest Compressed”, not yet as the Westheimer Block Party; the name the paper later used is applied here only as the collection it begins. Four numbered stage sites are keyed to a hand-drawn map of Westheimer, Montrose, Taft and Fairview, with a fifth schedule column for Helios Upstairs. Thirty-six sets are printed with set times, and eight sponsors are thanked on the map page. Date printed on the map page of Free Press Houston Issue 52, October 2005: “October 15th”. The issue itself is the primary source; no other held record dates this edition.
