Each dataset below is generated on request from the same records the archive's pages are built from. There is no separate export corpus: a row exists because the record exists. Every dataset states its coverage, how its rows are made and the date of the data it describes, which is also its version.
Descriptive metadata the archive created is released under CC0. Rights in the underlying articles, photographs and artwork remain with their authors; the rows describe those works and do not license them.
One row per public canonical article record recovered from Free Press Houston's print issues and website, with attribution, reconciled publication date, issue, section and subject fields.
One row per contributor record: printed name, roles and span as the archive states them, counts of recovered work, and verified external identity links where the archive holds them.
One row per monthly issue slot in the paper's run, stating whether an object is held, what kind of object it is, its page count and file properties where recorded.
One row per name per role per transcribed staff box: who the paper listed, in what capacity, in which issue and on which page.
One row per artwork, illustration or photograph credit the archive has read from a recovered article and attributed to a contributor record, plus the credits it could not resolve.
One row per published edition of the events the paper produced or presented — Westheimer Block Party, Free Press Summer Fest, Day for Night and others — with dates, venue and the identifiers of the sources that establish each.
For every public article whose surviving source stated a date, the stated date beside the date the archive emits, and the basis for the difference where there is one.
