Corrections and revisions

When a public record or a statement about the records is found to be wrong, it is corrected in place and the change is entered here. Addresses do not change. Each entry gives the date, the record, what changed and the evidence or reason. Routine additions of new material are not corrections and are not listed.

2016 election coverage — subject tags (24 records)

The subject tag “Election 2026” on twenty-four 2016 election articles was corrected to “Election 2016”. The raw tags on each source record are unchanged.

Reason: The former domain rewrites years in its tag set with the current year. Each record also carried the lowercase “election 2016” tag it was generated from, which the correction is keyed to.

Five article records dated 2000–2002

The records new-perspectives-on-the-extraordinary, battle-royale, please-give, dylan-beatles-mfah and civil-disobedience-houston-style were left undated. Their raw source dates remain on the record as provenance.

Reason: Each date fell before the paper's 2003 founding and its stated basis — a year in the surviving address — is not present in any address held for the record.

Issue records — volume numbers

Volume numerals shown on every issue record were withdrawn. Volume is now null unless printed on the held object; no held object currently records one.

Reason: The numerals were derived from the year by the site's build step, not read from any object. The methodology states that volumes are entered only when visible on held objects.

Record

Nick Cooper — reference link

A curated reference link to the personal site was removed from the record's link list because the same address now appears as a verified identity link.

Reason: One address, one place; the identity record is the authoritative one.

Record

Omar Afra — verified identity

A LinkedIn profile was added as a verified identity link; the record had previously been listed as withheld.

Reason: Confirmed by the subject as his own profile; source row retrieved 2026-09-04.

Structured data

Day for Night — collection structured data

The collection no longer describes one 2015–2017 exhibition organised by the archive. It is a collection page about three historical editions; work pages no longer carry created-date or created-location values.

Reason: The earlier structure asserted an event the archive did not hold evidence for in that form.

Structured data

Article sitemap — lastmod

The lastmod value, which had been the article's publication date, was removed.

Reason: The archive holds no page-modification date for these records; a publication date is not one.

Record

Article records — site-root capture

The crawler's capture of the former site's root address, which had been public as an article with no body, was withdrawn from the public corpus.

Reason: Not an editorial record.

Statement

Former-domain page — date statement

The page no longer states that every contemporary raw source date was reconciled. It now states that the raw value is retained as provenance and a historical date is emitted only where corroborated; otherwise the record is undated.

Reason: The earlier wording overstated what the reconciliation had established.

Article images — 44 files

Forty-four files under the article image paths were removed from public because they contained a saved HTML error page rather than an image. The credit, caption and provenance lines remain; no image is substituted.

Reason: Post-launch audit of held binaries.

Record

Ramon Medina — contributor record

Three CMS byline identities (Ramon Medina, Ramon Medina - LP4, Ramon LP4) were folded into one contributor record; the old byline addresses redirect to it.

Reason: Curator confirmation that the three bylines are one person; LP4 is a working handle.
