Shelby Hohl was a founding staff member of Free Press Houston. He not only made the paper's editorial illustrations, he created ad work, cover art, and help select candidates for performance at events. Finished web and print artwork by him is held here from 2012 through the paper's last year, and printed pages of the held issues credit the illustration on columns including BADVICE to him. A block-party graphic of April 2008 prints “Design by Shelby Hohl for Club Tech”. He also wrote occasionally; that work is indexed below the artwork.

Finished web file circulated to the paper as the death-penalty article illustration, print and web, on July 19, 2012. A paired print PDF is named in the same production record and is not held.

The held column BADVICE: POKE THE PROSTATE — V. 25 carries this exact file, Badvice_2015_Mar03_WEB.png, as its lead image with the caption “Illustration by Shelby Hohl”. The object held here is the full-size finished file behind the site's 600×300 derivative.

The held article Restorative Justice in the Education System, published April 26, 2016, records the lost lead image Wadhwa_Article-Illustration-590x300.png. This is that file, delivered the day before publication.
