The paper's own staff boxes list him under Designers & Illustrators, and thirty-nine held pages and proofs carry his credit line — “Art by Blake Jones”, “Illustration by Blake Jones” — from a February 2012 feature through the July 2015 print issue. Free Press Houston's own 2016 profile of him, Visual Vernacular: Artist Blake Jones, describes him as an artist and graphic designer. He also wrote the paper's Free Playlist Houston column; that work is indexed below the visual record.
