What the sources establish
Jet Lounge carried local and touring bookings in East Downtown through the first half of the 2010s, in the years Free Press Houston was covering the city's independent rooms most closely.
The March 2016 closing-party notice is advance reporting. A later August 2016 interview describes Jet Lounge as no longer around; it supplies a separate contemporary perspective on the venue’s loss.
The performance record is broader than the closing notice. The held review of The Examples, Gobble Gobble and Baths describes sets witnessed at Jet Lounge, while the later Josh Dupont interview discusses the loss of the room. The review’s 3/10 headline is retained without inventing an unresolved year.

Connected venues at 1515 Pease Street
The Engine Room and Jet Lounge are both documented at 1515 Pease Street. The Engine Room’s July 2008 closure notice explicitly said Jet Lounge would remain open.
A firsthand 2009 venue column describes Jet Lounge as connected to the then-defunct Engine Room. This is evidence of connected premises, not a simple sequence in which Jet Lounge first opened after the Engine Room closed.
The archive retains two venue identities. The March 2016 Jet Lounge notice advertises its upcoming closing party; it is not a retrospective report of the final performance.
