Scott ‘Flash’ Faber was a founding member of the Free Press Summer Fest team, bringing years of event and security experience to a festival that was still learning how to become one. Before FPSF, Faber had worked in live-event security at Houston’s Warehouse Live, where he handled shows by national and international touring artists. At FPSF he became one of the people the staff learned they could simply count on: physically imposing, calm under pressure, and unusually competent in the thousand practical problems that make or break a young festival. ‘Flash,’ as nearly everyone called him, helped establish the event’s early operational culture and its sense of community. He was a towering presence in both size and capability—loved across the staff, respected instinctively, and not a man anyone was eager to test.

This account, including Faber’s Warehouse Live experience, founding-team status, operations and security work, and staff reputation, is publisher and festival organizer Omar Afra’s firsthand recollection supplied to this archive; it is presented as recollection and is not independently corroborated by the recovered corpus.
