Bannon Ousted From the White House

Aug 18, 2026 5:30PM

Stephen Bannon, President Trump’s White House Chief Strategist, has been ousted from his role at the White House, as reported by the New York Times . Though the exact reason is currently unclear, Bannon’s exit leaves the people questioning exactly how much turmoil is occurring in the WH. With the likes of Reince Priebus, Anthony Scaramucci, Mike Flynn, and James Comey already out, the question still remains: Who really has the President’s ear, considering the administration has already shown that they will do what they feel is needed to get Trump’s attention?

This, of course, comes after the “Mooch’s” appearance on the Late Show with Stephen Colbert, where he double-downed on his idea that Bannon was in fact a leaker to an outside group, likely the Russians. Also, this follows the lengthy feud Bannon has been involved in with Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner, coined the ‘Globalists v. Nationalists.’ As this revelation unfolds, more news will come out as to why he has been removed, and we will hopefully get a press conference from the White House to explain more.
