Poverty vs Privilege V

Poverty vs Privilege V

My brother and I have our own bedrooms.

My dog and I are never apart.

Driving past the local church to see who they won’t let in.

Waiting for a cab with their stomachs growling.

It’s warmer under the bridge, thanks to the cars’ exhaust.

Dying of a thirst to “clear” my mind.

A place where I can truly be myself.

A hungry skateboarder.

They’re called necessities.

From the outside, looking in.

Where else would I go to get my fix?

We don’t feel safe leaving our cars here.
