"When I was continuously asked to post a video from our publisher Omar Afra without explanation, I knew the secrecy behind it was leading to something grand. That grand affair has been revealed as Day For Night , a completely new and reimagined festival experience set to take place in Houston on December 19th and 20th. Taking over Silver Street Studios and the surrounding areas, the two day event promises to be a visceral experience for the eyes and ears.",
"To make this an experience for the artists performing, as well as those in attendance, Free Press Houston teamed up with New York-based creative agency Work-Order to craft something completely different and next level from the ground up. According to Afra, “We always knew we wanted to produce a large scale winter event but we don’t want to just put on another festival. This one has to be different.”",
"And, from the sound of things, it’s something that no one who attends will have ever seen or heard before. Pairing world class musicians with leaders in various disciplines of digital art, the festival will be focused on merging technology and sound, and how audiences experience them. Belgium-born digital artist Alex Czetwertynski will curate the visual components by bringing a background in creative technology and interactive and experimental design to the table. The layout appears to offer up immersive lighting, video art, and projection in two controlled environments with stages featuring live music performances. There also promises to be a third outdoor stage that will showcase continual artistic content that includes projections, original video installations, and of course, music. The artists will be encouraged to perform in an environment created without the usual stripped-down logistics of a normal festival.",
"Houston native and creative partner of Work-Order Kiffer Keegan states, “The entire campus will be an active experience with visual and experimental art installations.”",
"The details within make the entire two day event sound like something that Houston has needed for quite some time. Next level, futuristic, and full of top notch talent, this festival could make this city explode on the radar of those who doubt us as an entertainment powerhouse, while giving us all an experience to take with us into the new year. Though it’s a blind presale for now, the lineup announcement is planned in the coming weeks. Tickets to the Day For Night Festival are on sale now at DayforNight.io with a price point for general admission, as well as a VIP option.",
